my story

As a boy all I loved to do was draw and play sport. Not a great deal has changed.

My design story started in 2000 at Macclesfield College. I had originally signed up to study Art but quickly changed as soon as I learnt that there was a Graphic Design course on offer. I loved computers and I loved to draw… perfect! To this day I believe College was the making of me.

Next stop was Salford University. I studied an HND in Graphic Design. I managed to build up a decent portfolio, which enabled me get my first job in the design industry at a small agency in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

In 2007, I took a deep breath and set up my own business from my bedroom. I had to learn a lot very quickly. I wanted to get involved in all aspects of design projects from initial client contact and taking briefs, to concepts, producing final artwork and presenting the final design. Setting up my business helped me to achieve all these.

In 2013 I sought a new challenge, this came as a Senior Designer at Parker Design. With the business growing I was soon promoted to Art Director and looking after a team of designers. My role covers the day to day management of a small team, as-well as working on a wide variety of design briefs, from print, digital to large scale events.

In June 2021 after nine fantastic years at Parker, I accepted a new role of Creative Lead at aps Events and Media who are a pharmaceutical events specialist. I have taken the lead on high profile digital projects including initial branding and concepts, UI/UX and video content.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family or enjoying one of my vast amount of sporting hobbies, whether its fell running through the Cheshire landscapes, a competitive game of football or enjoying club night at my local Tennis club.
